Two shots in this section, both from David Wood. Pic number seventeen shows two German locomotives side by side at Weringerode in the Hartz Mountains. They are 99 7235-7 and 99 7232-4. The pic is dated 11th August 2013.

The final pic, also from David, depicts a local emu service in the Rhine Valley at Asmannshausen on 12th August 2013. This is pic eighteen.

Voting is slow for the 'Pic of the Month', August 2013 competition. The voting system is simple - just send me the yellow August code numbers of the three pics you have chosen as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section, Winwick, and Alternatives (UK and World combined). All August dated pics posted between 15th August and 6th September are eligible, and have code numbers. My email address is at the top of the blog. Everyone, contributors or not, can vote.
