DRS Show-stopper - class 68

Sorry for the long delay but I have been very busy lately on other matters. This post, 17th February 2014, comprises fifteen pics from nine contributors; the latter is the highest number of contributors for a long time.
The post is dominated by the new DRS class 68 'running in' in our area and, according to reports, a very handsome locomotive. Another change for this year to add to the" no more competitions change" is that all pics will now be grouped together.

The first two pics have been sent in by Alan Rigby. This one shows EWS (DRS) class 90, 90020 Collingwood on a Crewe - Carlisle working on 2nd February 2014. Behind is DRS class 47, 47805. the location was Winwick.

Next is the new DRS class 68, 68002, photographed behind the same class 90 as above . The loco is on test on a Carlisle - Crewe working through Winwick on 4th February 2014. The pic is from Alan Rigby.

Next up is EWS (DBS) class 66, 66104, on a Wigan 'wagons for repair' return working through Winwick on 29th January 2014. In the opposite direction GBRf class 66, 66707 Sir Sam Fay. Great Central Railway is shown on an Ironbridge - Seaforth biomass empties working.  The pic is from Jeff Nicholls.

Our fourth pic features a rare four-loco consist, through Winwick on 1st February 2014. The locos were Freightliner class 66s, 66415, 66547, 66606 and 66957. The pic is from Jeff Nicholls.

Next is a pic from Ieuan Wood. This shows a 'Tuebrook - Drax loaded test run'  with GBRf class 66, 66735 and an unidentified GBRf class 66 in charge.

This another shot of DRS class 68, 68002, behind class 90, 90020. The location was beneath the M62 at Winwick; taken by Jeff Nicholls on 5th February 2014.

DBS class 60, 60004 is shown next in a pic from Bob McClellan, taken on 3rd February 2014. The working was the Preston tanks empties and the location, Lowton Junction.

John Smith's pic of GBRf class 66, 66707 Sir Sam Fay. Great Central Railway is up next. The working was empty biomass and the location, Lea Green. john's pic is dated 29th January 2014.

DRS class 66, 66301 is pictured next, running light engine through Winwick on 29th January 2014.

'The Deviatoner' rail tour is shown here in Matthew Chambers' pic taken at Stafford on 8th February 2014. DRS class 20's, 20303 top and 20304 tail, were the locos.

Geoff Monks has sent in the next pic, showing Thompson 'B1' class 4-6-0, No.61264. The location was Burrs on the ELR and the date, 2nd February 2014. The service was Heywood - Rawtenstall.

Brussels is the location for this next shot taken by David Quayle on 25th January 2014. The main train is a Thalys - Amsterdam - Paris service with a Belgian class 27 in the photo, also.

The' electric blue' class 86 is up next from Ieuan Wood. Taken at Winwick on 1st February 2014 the shot shows the preserved loco E3137 (86259) Les Ross on the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express'.

The penultimate shot in this post is from Matthew Chambers. The 'Buffer Puffer 11.0' is pictured at Crewe headed by DRS class 37, 37610 T.S. (Ted) Cassady 14.5.61-6.4.08. DRS class 37, 37405 was on the tail. Matthew's shot is dated 25th January 2014.
