Ten for 2013

In this post, 12th January 2013, I am using ten pics from seven contributors covering three sections, Winwick area, Alternative UK areas and 'Retro' pics (pre 2000). To make the Winwick area more inclusive I am extending the 'area' along the L&M line to Rainhill, which includes Lea Green  and St Helens Junction.

WINWICK

First up is the blue 'tug', No.60074 Teenage Spirit, pic no.1 from Jeff Nicholls. The loco is on an empty coal working from Arpley Yard to Walton sidings to 'run round'. Jeff's pic is dated 2nd January 2013.

Pic number two is another from Jeff. DRS class 47, 47813, is pictured approaching Newton-le-Willows on a DRS driver training working, Crewe - Stoke via Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Victoria and Stockport. The working runs Monday to Thursday until 24th January 2013.

Voting has started for the 'Pic of the Month', December 2012 competition. The voting system is simple - just send me the yellow December code numbers of the three pics you have chosen as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section, Winwick and Alternatives (UK and World combined). All December dated pics posted between December 6th and January 3rd are eligible and have code numbers. My email address is at the top of the blog. Everyone reading this post is eligible to vote, contributor or not.
