More Foreign Pics

Today's post, 26th August 2016, follows on from the previous post by including more railway pics taken abroad. Eighteen pics are featured from six contributors.

WINWICK and BEYOND

The first nine pics are all from the UK. Up first are three pics from Geoff Monks all taken on the same date - 17th August 2016. The first features double heading DRS class 68s, 68004 Rapid and 68017 Hornet at Golborne, on the Daventry - Mossend 'Tesco Express'.

Pic 2 shows DBC (DB Cargo) class 60, 60066 in Drax livery, near Mobberley on a Peak Forest - Dallam aggregate working.

DBC class 67, 67015 is up next taken in the cutting at Moore heading the Manchester Piccadilly - Llandudno service.

The following pics were taken by Jeff Nicholls. A 'smoky' EWS (DBC) class 66  66138 is pictured hauling the Dollands Moor-Irvine china clay tanks - an unusual working for a class 66.

Jeff's next shot shows the DBC class 67, 67015 pushing the 07.38 Chester - Manchester Piccadilly train up Earlestown Bank.

Now the norm, a pair of 68s is shown in this pic from Jeff taken from Burtonwood Road across the hay bales. The working was the 'Tesco Express' as described above.

The two pics above are from John Smith. Both were taken on 13th August 2016 at St Helens Central and feature front and rear class 57s on the Chester - Edinburgh 'Special'. They were 57312 Solway Princess top, and 57305 Northern Princess, tail -  in Northern Belle livery.

The following shot is from Alan Rigby taken at Winwick on 22nd August 2016. Depicted is GBRf class 92, 92032 IMECHE Railway Division working Carlisle Yard - Crewe.

Now for some pics taken by David Wood in Germany and Poland (not much info supplied with each shot unfortunately). This first one was taken at Wuppertal on 1st August 2016.

David's second pic was taken at Frankfurt Oder Station No.5 370 007 1251 was on route to Poznan (Poland) on 2nd August 2016.

The following four shots were all taken in Poland. Number three was taken at Wolsztyn 3rd August 2016.

This one shows Wolsztyn steam shed on 3rd August 2016.

David's fifth and final shot, taken on 6th August 2016 at Zakapone, shows the funicular in the Tatras Mountains.

The last three shots in this post are from myself. The two shots above show the tea-time Arriva passenger working (Manchester Piccadilly - Llandudno) through Winwick. Top (left) is DBC class 67, 67015 and tail (right) is Driving Brake Van, 82308. The pics are dated  24th August 2016.

Also taken at Winwick on the same date was DRS class 66, 66423 heading an engineers working.

The final shot from me features the 'Russell' intermodal headed by Freightliner PowerHaul class 70, 70006. date - 24th August 2016 again.
