A steam special is running this Saturday, Liverpool - Shap -Carlisle - Settle - Liverpool, headed by 6233 Duchess of Sutherland according to UK Steam Info (today), but by 6201, Princess Elizabeth, according to other sources. The route is through St Helens Central. I was amazed when looking through the 278 photos on our blog, to date, to find none of LMS 'Princess Royal' class 4-6-2, 6201, Princess Elizabeth. Well here is one by yours truly. Taken last year as she stormed beneath the gantry at Winwick on 16th August heading the 'North Wales Coast Express'.
