Welcome to rail enthusiasts who gather to photograph or 'spot' passing trains at this well known location - the Winwick stretch of the WCML. This blog is intended to be a channel of communication for Winwick devotees when at home or at work.
I have started the blog with two pics. The first shows the popular logs train headed by a class 57, 57007, taken in August 2009.
The second features a preserved Stanier 4-6-2, 6233 Duches
s of Sutherland, heading a Worcester - Carlisle 'Special' taken in July 2009. Old Alder Lane Bridge is clearly visible in the background.
If you wish to post on this blog - news, sightings, future events etc., that will interest other winwick enthusiasts - get in touch with me at david.precology@virginmedia.com
