Ten out of Ten

Another ten pics comprise today's post, 16th December 2011, from ten contributors.



First is Colin Platt's pic of ex GWR 'Manor' class 4-6-0, No.7822 Foxcote Manor, normally a resident at the Llangollen Railway,  but taken at Grosmont at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Gala. The date was 1st October 2011.





The second pic is from Alan Rigby. Heading a Rail Head Treatment Train (RHTT) is class 20, 20142 / D8142, at Sherburn - in - Elmet on 5th October 2011. The working was York - Gilberdyke. Class 20, 20189 is on the tail. Both locos are preserved.






Shot three is from David Quayle and features ex L&NWR class 'G2' 0-8-0, No.49395, (built in 1921)  on the East Lancashire Railway at Bury. The pic is dated 22nd October 2011.






Dave Harris has sent in pic number four. The now defunct WSMR (Wrexham Shropshire & Marylebone Railway) is represented by class 67, 67012 A Shropshire Lad. The working was Wrexham - London, the location Ruabon and the date, August 2008.




John Smith's superb collection of industrial loco pics includes pic number five. 0-6-0ST, 68013, is pictured approaching Matlock at the Peak Rail Gala on 14th May 2011.






Bob McClellan has sent in pic number six showing Freightliner 'PowerHaul' class 70, 70011, passing Daresbury with a coal working on 16th February 2011.




 
Bevan Price is taking us abroad for scanned pic number seven. Alexibad used to be part of the GDR, or East Germany, and Bevan's original pic was taken on 23rd August 1970. Depicted is DR99-5903-2, on 1000mm track.






Barrow Hill Depot was the venue for Matthew Chambers' shot , number eight, of the appropriately named class 20, D8132 Barrow Hill Depot.  The pic is dated 25th September 2010.





Another foreign shot now, this time from Jeff Nicholls' Polish collection. OL 49-7 is shown leaving Strykowo on 12th June 2009.










Finally, pic number ten has been supplied by Paul Holland. Peppercorn 'A1' re-build No.60163, Tornado, is pictured in grey livery at a Loughborough Steam Weekend on the GCR. The loco was  on a demonstration run with a TPO set in October 2008.
