Today's post, 4th April 2013, comprises thirteen pics split between the two main sections. Seven contributors are represented. This is the last post for March dated pics to qualify for the March 'Photograph of the Month', 2013 competition.
WINWICK
First up is a shot from Andy Parkinson who took the title 'Photograph of the Year' for 2012. DBS class 60, 60019 Pathfinder Tours 30 Years of Railtouring 1973-2003, is shown near Astley signal box on 29th March 2013.

Pic number four is from Bob McClellan. Freightliner class 66, 66599 is shown at the site of Lowton Station (between Lowton Junction and Golborne Junction) with track panels for the relaying scheme taking place for the electrification of the Chat Moss line. Bob's pic is dated 21st February 2012.
WCRC class 47, 47786, Roy Castle OBE is shown next in pic number five from Jeff Nicholls. The location was Culcheth and the date, 17th March 2013.

Pic number seven, the first in this section, is from Matthew Chambers. Two DRS class 37s head up a Pathfinder Tours set at Tamworth on 29th March 2013. The locos are 37607 and 37409.

Alan Rigby has sent in pic number nine, taken at Wigan North Western on 26th March 2013. Colas class 56, 56105 is depicted on the logs working Carlisle - Chirk.

Pic number ten is one of four sent in by David Quayle. David attends many of the railway galas and these four were all taken at the SVR. Pic number ten was taken at Bridgnorth and features ex GWR class '28xx' 2-8-0, No.2857, on 21st March 2013.

Pic eleven shows American built, SR 0-6-0T locomotive, No.65 (30065) at Highley on 22nd March 2013. The SR had 15 of these locos built in 1942/43.

Four locos are featured in pic number twelve taken at Bewdley on 23rd March 2013. They are ex GWR small 'Prairie' 2-6-2, No.5164, ex GWR 2-6-2 'Prairie', No.4566, ex BR 'Standard' class '4', 2-6-4T No.80072 and ex SR 'WC' class 4-6-2, No.34007 Wadebridge.

Voting has started for the 'Pic of the Month', March 2013 competition. The voting system is simple - just send me the yellow March code numbers of the three pics you have chosen as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section, Winwick, and Alternatives (UK and World combined). All March dated pics posted between March 21st and today, April 4th are eligible and have code numbers. My email address is at the top of the blog. Everyone, contributors or not, can vote.
