WINWICK & ELSEWHERE
David Quayle is first up with four pics, two from the Llangollen Railway (LR), one from the Severn Valley Railway (SVR) and another from Winwick. Ex GWR pannier tank 0-6-0 No.1638 is shown in his first pic with a parcels charter east of Glyndyfrdwy on the LR. The pic is dated 8th April 2014.
David's second is a Winwick shot of the recent 'Great Britain VII' charter which tours Britain over a number of days. At the head on this leg is ex LMS 'Black Five' 4-6-0 No.44932. The date - 28th April 2014.
Pic three from David was taken at Bewdley on the SVR and features the same pannier tank 0-6-0 as above, No.1638, this time on a passenger service on 21st March 2014.
The fourth shot from David was taken at Berwyn on the LR on 7th April 2014. Pictured is ex GWR 2-8-0 No.3802 on a passenger service. The shot was taken from the hotel opposite, where David was staying.
Jeff Nicholls has sent in the following three pics. Pic five overall features a 'Pendolino' 390 134 at an unusual location, over Chat Moss, because of a diversion. The pic is dated 20th April 2014.
Freightliner 'PowerHaul' class 70, 70006 is up next, taken at Winwick by Jeff on 3rd May 2014.The 70 was heading an engineers working.
Jeff's third pic, number seven overall, was taken at Red Bank and shows another engineers train. This one is headed by Freightliner class 66, 66512, on 3rd May 2014.
A John Smith foursome now follows. Pic eight overall shows EWS (DBS) class 60, 60035 on a Liverpool-Tinsley empty steel working on 4th April 2014. The location was Collins Green.
Another from John, number nine, features new Colas Rail class 70s, 70806 and 70807 at St Helens Junction on 1st May 2014.
An empty biomass working is next from John, taken at Collins Green on 21st April 2014. The working was Ironbridge - Liverpool and the loco - GBRF class 66, 66708 Jayne.
John's second shot of the Colas pair of class 70's is next. The location was St Helens Junction again and the shot was taken from the reverse direction.
Ieuan Wood has sent in pics twelve, thirteen and fourteen. Number twelve depicts the Freightliner class 86's, 86607 and 86622, on a Crewe - Coatbridge working on 27th April 2014. The location was Winwick.
Class 66, 66623 in Bardon Aggregates livery, is pictured next from Ieuan, with a track laying working. The location was Winwick and the date, 26th April 2014.
EWS (DBS) class 60, 60065 Spirit of Jaguar is pictured in Ieuan's third shot. The location was Rainhill, the date was 2nd May 2014 and the working - a Seaforth - Tinsley empty steel.
Three from David Wood are up next. The first, pic fifteen, shows the familiar logs working. The location was Daresbury, the loco was Colas Rail class 56, 56087 and the date - 24th April 2014.
GBRf class 66, 66708 Jayne was pictured at Whiston, by David, on 25th April 2014. The working was empty biomass.
David's third shot of GBRf class 66, 66730 Whitemoor was taken at Rainhill on 22nd April 2014. Biomass was again, the working.
Alan Rigby has sent in our final two shots, numbers eighteen and nineteen. The first, of DRS class 37, 37682 was taken at Acton Bridge on 1st May 2014. The working was Daventry - Mossend.
Pic nineteen from Alan was taken at Winwick on 1st May 2014. Colas Rail class 56, 56094 is pictured on a Sinfin - Grangemouth empty tanks working.
