Best Winwick Pic 2013 - Entrants

This post, 13th January 2014, features 15 pics - the winning entries from the 2013 monthly competitions for the Winwick section. There are no entrants from December due to lack of entries. There were joint winners in October and November, hence two entries for each month. There are also two entrants from June, first and second are included, as there were over 25 entries in the section.  Photographs are numbered 1-15 so please email me your first three choices only.

'Pics of the Month, November 2013' - RESULTS

This post, 8th January 2014, is dedicated to the winners of the November 2013 competition. Congratulations to Jeff Nicholls, Alan Rigby and Barry Rigby for their successes. There will be no winners for December as  there were not enough pictures posted. With that in mind I am now compiling the overall winners - Picture of the year entries will be shown in the next post; best Winwick photographer overall and best Alternatives photographer overall will also be named in the next post. I have a few pics from January to add also.

Unless there are strong objections there will be no competitions next year - the blog will revert to its previous and original format, simply providing a forum for photographers.

A NRTT (Network Rail Test Train) is featured in this pic from Jeff. NR liveried class 97, 97301  is pictured with DRS class 37, 37194 sandwiching the test car Mentor. The location was Parkside Junction and the date, 20th November 2013.

Alan's shot was  taken at Winwick on 22nd November 2013 and depicts double-heading DRS class 37s. The locos were 37601 and 37261 on a Daventry - Coatbridge intermodal.

Seven for Christmas

Not much photography taking place lately so today's post, 23rd December 2013, features just seven December shots, from two contributors.

As the title suggests, today's post 13th December 2013, includes three pictures of the DBS class 90, 90036. Altogether nine pics are used from five contributors.

In today's post, 29th November 2013, I am using seven pics from just three contributors but featuring eleven locomotives.
