Eight from Five

Today's post, 19th March 2016, features just eight pics from five contributors. As the SVR Gala is on this weekend,  there will certainly be more pics in the next post.

WINWICK & BEYOND

Jeff Nicholls is up first today with three local pics taken at Red Bank. This one features double heading DRS class 66s, 66301 and 66302 on the Tesco intermodal, taken on a very frosty morning, 24th February 2016.

Pic number 2 from Jeff shows Freightliner PowerHaul class 70, 70005, on the early Coatbridge - Daventry intermodal, a service that has been transferred from DRS to Freightliner.  The pic is dated 24th February 2016.

Also from Jeff is pic number 3, showing double heading DBS class 90s, 90029 and 90036 Driver  Jack Mills, on the lunchtime Mossend - Daventry intermodal. The date was the same, 24th February 2016.

David Wood has sent in pic number four. Pictured is GBRf class 66, 66718, at Whiston on 16th March 2016. The following info is gleaned from the Internet (mainlinediesels.net) -  "The London Underground celebrates its 150th anniversary and GBRf has given two of its Class 66 a brand new livery for the occasion. Locos 66718 and 66721 were presented during a ceremony at London Victoria station. There, 66718 was  officially named "Sir Peter Hendy CBE". The date was 5th November 2013.

Ieuan Wood is up next with this shot of Freightliner PowerHaul class 70, 70004 The Coal Industry Society, on the Daventry - Coatbridge intermodal on 25th February 2016 at Winwick.

Next is a duo from Geoff Monks. First up is GBRf class 66, 66763 on a Drax - Liverpool BT empty biomass working taken at Ashley on 7th March 2016.

Geoff's second shot depicts GBRf class 66, 66718, in London Underground map livery (details above),between Hale and Ashley, on a Drax-Liverpool empty biomass working on 16th March 2016.

Finally this one is from yours truly - yes I do get out now and again. It is an evening shot of a double unit class 319, 319362 at the front, passing over Carr Mill Viaduct on 16th March 2016.
