First Pics of the New Year.

Here we go again. It seems a long time ago (10th March 2010) since we began our blog and we are still going strongly. Many thanks to everyone who have contributed and to all our viewers. Today's post, 9th January 2015, comprises fourteen pics from five contributors.

WNWICK AND ELSEWHERE

Up first is our most frequent contributor (I don't know what we would do without him...) Jeff Nicholls. His first shot is of the Arpley diesel shunter, 09016, at Bridge Foot over the Mersey on 3rd January 2015. The shunter is on its way to couple up to the Pathfinder Tours' 'Tugging Shedmaster' train in Latchford Sidings.

Next is a shot of DBS class 60, 60092 passing over the Twelve Arches at the head of the 'Tugging Shedmaster' tour, on its way to Toton. The pic is dated 3rd January 2015.

Jeff's third pic shows double heading Stanier 'Black Five' 4-6-0s Nos 44871 and 45407 at Winwick with a Southall - ELR move. The pic is dated 24th December 2014.

Pic number four of GBRf class 66, 66753 EMD Roberts Road was taken at Winwick on 24th December 2014. The working was LBT - Ironbridge PS biomass.

Jeff's fifth and final shot (for now) features DBS 'Tug' 60092 parked at Arpley Shed with a red DBS coal hopper alongside. This pic is dated 31st December 2014.

John Smith was also out and about on New Years Eve. He was at Lea Green for DBS class 60, 60020, on a LBT - FFPS coal working. Note that the wiring is in place.

John's second shot was taken on 2nd January 2015 at Collins Green. Depicted is GBRf class 66, 66749 on an Ironbridge PS - LBT empty biomass working. The wires are in place here also.

David Wood has sent in the next pic, showing the double heading 'Black Fives' detailed above. Nos. 44871 and 45407 were pictured at Parkside with the Southall - Bury move. The date was 24th December 2014.

The following four shots are from Alan Rigby. DRS class 68, 68003 and DRS class 37, 37605 are shown at Winwick on 2nd January 2015. The working was Daventry - Motherwell flats.

Next, from Alan, is Fastline Freight liveried class 56, 56301 (ex56045)  on a Chaddeston - Shap Quarry working through Winwick on 8th January 2015. The 56 is owned by 'Class 56 Locomotives'.

The third pic from Alan shows GBRf class 66, 66749 at Winwick with an Ironbridge PS - Tuebrook biomass empties working. The pic is dated 7th January 2105.

Arriva Trains Wales class 67, 67001, is pictured in Alan's fourth shot taken at Winwick on 7th December 2015. The working was Holyhead - Manchester Piccadilly.

The fifth shot from Alan was taken at Winwick on 7th January 2015. WCRC class 37s 37706 and 37668 are pictured on a Southall - Carnforth working.

Jeff' Nicholls has sent in the final shot for this post. Pictured is EWS/DBS class 67, 67016 crossing the Mersey at Bridge Foot at the head of the 'Tugging Shedmaster' on 3rd January 2015. DBS class 60, 60092 is on the tail.
