Today's post, 2nd November 2013, is dedicated to the best entries in the September photo competition. Well done to the Woods (Ieuan and David) for cleaning up in the Winwick section and to Bob McClellan for gaining equal first places in the Alternatives. This post shows you the winning shots.

1st September W14 Ieuan Wood
Ieuan's shot features Stanier 'Jubilee' class 4-6-0, No.45699 Galatea, heading the 'Lune Rivers Trust Special' through Winwick on 28th September 2013.
2nd September W8 Ieuan Wood
'Western' class 52 diesel, D1015 Western Champion, was through Winwick on 21st September 2013 with a Tyseley - Carlisle 'Special'. Preserved class 47, 47773, was behind the 'Western' in Ieuan's shot.
3rd September W9 David Wood
David's shot shows DRS class 66, 66426, on a northbound intermodal service (the 'Russell') through Winwick on 18th September 2013.

Matthew sent in two pics of the 'Autumn Highlander', a 4-day tour of England and Scotland hauled by DRS class 20s - 20308 and 20309. The location of this pic was Anniesland on day 3 of the tour. The date was 29th September 2013 - 20308 to the fore.
