In this post, 28th August 2013, I am using sixteen pics from seven contributors covering locos from England, Wales and Germany.

WINWICK
First up are two pics from a new contributor who has supported our competitions and has decided to have a go and place pics on our blog. You are very welcome Mark Tombs. EWS (DBS) class 66, 66114, is shown in pic number one waiting at Bank Quay with a freight working. The pic is dated 19th August 2013.

Mark's second shot was also taken at Bank Quay and features Arriva Trains class 175, 175110, on a Llandudno-Manchester Piccadilly service. This pic is dated 20th July 2013. Keep them coming Mark.
Pic number three is from Bob McClellan. DBS class 60, 60039, is pictured at Winwick Junction with a LBT-FFPS coal working on 22nd August 2013.

Our fourth pic, featuring double heading DRS locos, is from Jeff Nicholls. Class 37, 37425 is paired with class 57, 57004 on an empty, spent nuclear fuel working from Sellafield. The destination was Crewe, the location was Winwick and the date was 24th August 2013.

ALTERNATIVE UK PICS
Pic number eight is also from yours truly (I can't remember the last time I has two pics in a post). This shot was taken at Carr Mill on 27th July 2013. Pictured is a Liverpool - Carlisle steam 'special' the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express'. Preserved class 47, 47580 County of Essex is pictured on the tail of the train which was headed by Stanier 'Pacific' No.46233 Duchess of Sutherland. This was the evening, return run to to Liverpool.

Both pics in this section are from David Wood following his trip to Germany. The first, pic number fifteen, was taken at Assmannshausen, a town on the Rhine. An intermodal working is headed by electric loco No.ES64 F4 -211 on 15th August 2013.
