The early morning 'Tesco Express' is featured in Jeff's pic. Now in the hands of DRS, the working was headed by double heading class 66s, 66303 and 66431. The pic was taken at Red Bank on 12th November 2012.

The second pic features ex SR 'Schools' class 4-4-0, No.925 Cheltenham, leaving Ropley destined for Alresford. The location once again was the Mid Hants Railway and the pic is dated 30th December 2012.

Voting can now begin for the 'Pic of the Month',
December 2012 competition. The
voting system is simple - just send me the yellow December code numbers of the
three pics you have chosen as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section, Winwick and
Alternatives (UK and World combined). All December dated pics posted between
December 6th and today, January 3rd, are eligible and have code numbers. My email
address is at the top of the blog. Everyone reading this post is eligible to
vote, contributor or not. Because of the poor weather in December the number of contributions is low, so voting is easy - get cracking please.
