More steam, diesels and electrics

The number of pics in this post, 6th December 2012, reflects the downturn in numbers being received for inclusion on the blog. I am using nine pics from five contributors.


WINWICK


First up is a pic from Jeff Nicholls. EWS (DBS) class 66, 66018, is pictured at Bank Quay with an empty limestone hopper working, Margam - Hardendale Quarry. Jeff's pic is dated 28th November 2012.

Next, pic number two, has been sent in by Ieuan Wood. DRS class 66, 66428, is shown in close up heading an intermodal working through Winwick on 21st November 2012.

Pic number three shows double heading Freightliner class 86s, 86612 and 86632, on a Coatbridge - Basford Hall intermodal at Winwick, on 5th December 2012. The pic is from Bob McClellan.

Pic number four is from David Wood. The giant ex LMS Stanier 'Pacific', No. 6201 Princess Elizabeth, is pictured heading the Slough - Chester 'Cathedrals Express', near Beeston on 4th December 2012.

Our fifth pic has been sent in by David Quayle. One of David's autumn Gala shots depicts ex LMS (Fowler) 'Jinty' 0-6-0 tank, No. 47324. The location was Bury on the ELR and the date, 20th October 2012.









DBS class 60, 60017 is up next, pic number six, from David Wood. The coal working was taken at Rainhill on 5th December 2012.

A 'Skip' is next, pic number eight from David Wood. David's pic shows the rear end of the 'Cathedrals Express' railtour described above. DBS class 67, 67016 is the banker, and the date, was 4th December 2012.

Finally, pic number nine has been sent in by Colin Platt. Another of his WSR shots from an Autumn Gala, the loco in focus is class '9F' 2-10-0, No.92203 Black Prince, owned (and currently for sale) by wildlife artist David Shepherd. The passenger service is pictured on Ker Moor approaching Blue Anchor; the date was 4th October 2012.
