The SVR, K&WVR, WSR, ELR and GCR are five preserved railways covered by our post today, 19th October 2012. Reflecting the number of pics in the 'bank' at the moment, I am using fourteen shots in this post from eight contributors.
WINWICK
The first pic is from Jeff Nicholls. A double set of Arriva 158s are featured, led by 158833. The early morning service was shot at Winwick on 17th October 2012.

Our fourth shot shows 'Royal' liveried class 67, 67006 Royal Sovereign, on a Cruise Liner Special running Glasgow - Southampton Docks. The pic is from Jeff Nichols; it was taken at Winwick on 13th October 2012.

The fifth shot in this section, and the last, is another from David Wood. Depicted is EWS (DBS) class 67, 67021, on an Arpley - Wigan working through Winwick, on 10th October 2012.

ALTERNATIVE UK PICS
First up in this section is a shot from David Quayle taken at the recent Gala at the K&WVR. Pictured are ex LMS class '4F' 0-6-0 tender locomotive (built 1920) No.43924 and 2-6-0, No.43106 at Keighley on 14th October 2012. The latter loco, a BR, Ivatt class '4', (built 1951) is the only one of its class in preservation.

Next, pic number seven overall, is another of David's from the same K&WVR gala. Three locos are shown, Nos.41241, 43106 and 80002. No.41241 is a BR Ivatt class '2', 2-6-2T, built in 1949; No.43106 is described previously and No.80002 is a BR 'Standard' class 4MT 2-6-4T tank loco built in 1952. The pic is dated 14th October 2012.

Colin Platt's visit to the WSR resulted in the following pic, number eight. Pictured is 'Hall' class 4-6-0 No.4936 Kinlet Hall passing stationary wagons travelling from Dunster to Minehead. Behind, double heading but not in the picture, is 'Modified Hall' class 4-6-0 No.6960 Raveningham Hall - they were heading a passenger service. The pic is dated 6th October 2012.

Bob McClellan has sent in pic number nine. Class 09 diesel shunter, 09002, is pictured on a Felixstowe - Barton Dock intemodal working near Trafford Park on 13th October 2012.

Pic number ten is from Geoff Monks. His trip to the GCR gala on 8th October 2012 resulted in this pic of a mail working, from Loughborough. The train is passing Woodthorpe Lane headed by ex GWR 0-6-0PT, No.9466

Colin Platt has supplied pic number eleven, taken at the WSR gala on 6th October 2012. Pictured is Ivatt class '4' 2-6-0, No.43106, (built 1951) heading a passenger service over Ker Moor towards Blue Anchor.

Next up, pic number twelve, is another from David Quayle. This is a third pic from his recent trip to the K&WVR. Featured is ex LMS 0-6-2T 'Coal Tank' No. (2)7799. (L&NWR No.1054; BR No. 58926). The loco was built for the L&NWR by F.W. Webb in 1888. The pic is dated 14th October 2012.

Matthew Chambers has sent in pic number thirteen taken at the ELR gala on 22nd September 2012. The Deltic class 55, 55022 Royal Scots Grey is pictured at Burrs heading a passenger service.
Finally, pic number fourteen, is a third one from Colin Platt. Taken on 23rd September 2012, the pic features ex GWR small 'Prairie' tank 2-6-2, No. 4566, on the SVR.
