The 'Earl' and The 'Duke'

Todays post (30th October 2010) comprises three pics from three different photographers, two pics of Earl of Mount Edgcumbe and one of Duke of Gloucester.
First, the 'Earl'. One of Charles Collett's finest, 'Castle' class 4-6-0 No. 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe passed through Winwick, with support coach, on 15th October 2010. The first pic, by David Quayle, shows the consist passing under Old Alder Lane bridge. The second pic, from John Smith, shows the consist heading towards the bridge. The 'Earl' is northbound in both pics.
The third pic is another of class 8P 4-6-2, No. 71000 Duke of Gloucester. I have used several pics of 'The Duke' before but no apologies for using another one of this magnificent locomotive. Heading the 'Cumbrian Coast Explorer' charter into Bank Quay, the train was photographed by Ken Young on 3rd July 2010.
