Nine from NYM and SVR Railways

Today's post, 20 December 2017,  is the last before Christmas and comprises nine pics from a single contributor. Don't forget my new email address for contributions is detailed above, as reported in the previous post.

Colin Platt has sent them in and they cover two of his 2017 trips from March of this year - to the North Yorkshire  Moors Railway and the the Severn Valley Railway.

His first five shots are from the Spring NYMR Gala.  The first pair, above, show Ex LMS Stanier 4-6-0 'Royal Scot' class No.46100, Royal Scot, on passenger services at Beck Hole (left), and nearing Levisham (right). The pics are dated 25 March 2017.

Another Stanier 4-6-0 is up next in the following two pics - 'Black V' No 45212. The loco is heading a passenger service approaching Levisham (left) and passing the Levisham signal box. The date was the same, 25 March 2017.

Colin's final shot on this date was of another Stanier 'Black V', No.44806, near Levisham on a passenger service.

The next four shots were taken at the SVR Gala, held  just before the NYMR equivalent. The first three shots were taken at Bewdley on 17th March 2017. The first pair below were taken at or near the water towers and featured Ex GWR 'Manor' class 4-6-0 No.7802 Bradley Manor of Charles Collett in both pics, and ex SR, 'Battle of Britain' class 4-6-2, No.34081 92 Squadron (without name plate), of Oliver Bulleid (right).

'BoB' class 4-6-2, No.34081, is featured again but at Eardington on 19th March 2017.

Colin's final shot is of another ex SR 'Battle of Britain' class 4-6-2, No.34053 Sir Keith Park, leaving Bewdley on 17 March 2017, with a passenger service.

May I take this opportunity to thank all of our contributors from 2017, and wish everyone, including our viewers/supporters, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

The first is of 'Manor' class 4-6-0 of Charles Collett, No.7819 Hinton Manor. The loco is heading a passenger service out of Bridgnorth towards Kidderminster, on 14 April 1985.

Next, is ex GWR 'Castle' class 4-6-0, also of Collett, No.5051 Earl Bathurst. The visiting loco was photographed soon after leaving Bridgnorth with a passenger service on 15 June 1986.
