David's second shot was also taken at the same time and shows a goods service. The date for both shots was 9th July 2014.

Colin Scollick has sent in the final four shots in this post, two of historical significance. The background to the first two shots is the Great Train Robbery of 1963. The bridge at the scene was the Bridego Bridge, Ledburn in Buckinghamshire and Colin's shots show the bridge and engineering works sign as they are at present. The Royal Mail train was heading from Glasgow to London and 15 train robbers altered the signal system to stop the train at the bridge. A 16th man, a retired engine driver, was also involved in taking the £2.6million in cash. The famous Leatherslade Farm was the hiding place where the police found much of the evidence that led to the arrests of most of the gang. Ronnie Biggs was the most famous robber who escaped from prison in 1965 and lived as a fugitive, abroad, for the next 36 years. He returned to Britain in 2001 and died in 2009, three years after his release from prison on medical/compassionate grounds.

Colins third shot shows a Freightliner class 66 at Rossett (Wrexham) on a recent engineering working.

Finally, another of Colin's recent shots, this one of a bridge in Camden Town displaying a picture of double heading 'Castle' class 4-6-0s.
