The closing date for objections is October 4th, so get cracking....

It appears that the threatened closure may be related to the proliferation of litter which, of course, has nothing to do with us; make sure you let them know. The litter problem may be linked to the anti-social behaviour that we witness from time to time, although most is carried out when we are not present i.e. in the late evening.

Today's post, 28th September 2012, comprises fourteen pics from eight contributors; they cover many locations from Winwick  to Germany, and three decades (80's, 90's and the present one).

The final pic in this section is very important to Winwick enthusiasts. The pic by Jeff Nicholls shows a recent notice posted by Warrington Borough Council. Both Jeff and David Walklett have supplied the following information. WBC are planning to close Old Alder Lane to traffic except for purposes of access to the buildings in the lane. The notice also appeared in the Warrington Guardian on 13th September. Objections to the proposal must be sent to Jo Nugent in Legal Services at WBC by noon on 4th October 2012.  We must act quickly on this and send in our objections - perhaps someone could set up a petition for signature, to present to the Council. Any offers?
